Hecla Island Fall Wedding in Manitoba

Bride and guests with sparklers on the beach at Hecla Manitoba

Emily & Denis

Emily & Dennis tied the knot at Hecla Island, Manitoba in early fall. Their day started with the wedding party getting ready with them at the cabins they rented out along the lake, followed by a beach-side first look. We headed over to the nearby old quarry site to take photos before the ceremony. The quarry has so many great little nooks and variety in the landscape that makes it a great location for both couples photos and wedding party photos. E&D said their ‘I dos’ along the shore of Lake Winnipeg, with friends and family sharing in the celebration.

The Lighthouse Inn Restaurant with its newly renovated space was a great indoor spot for dinner, speeches and dancing. Emily and Dennis designed their own custom table lanterns to add to the golden evening glow. Before dancing the night away, we took everyone outside for a fun sparkler exit right before the rain started to fall. Hecla Island was a gorgeous backdrop for Emily & Dennis’ big day.
